The key principle of the Program PrieStory is an idea that people if enabled to get involved in change their surroundings will use the offered opportunity. Together they are able to agree on the purpose and shape of the public space. Moreover, they are willing to contribute their time, energy and work for the actual creation of that place. This is how meaningfull and well functioning public spaces are being established – the places where the poeple live.

The program is focused on parks, playgrounds, river banks, market places, smaller squares, spaces between the housing facilities and other suitable unused areas. By providing necessary training, technical assistance and small grants (US $ 6000), the program promotes development of public spaces that are proposed, designed, created and maintained by the communities themselves.
